América 2 (América TV; formerly: Canal 2) is a national channel of Argentina, from La Plata that also broadcasts from Buenos Aires' Palermo neighbourhood. It was launched on June 25, 1966 as Rivadavia Televisión/TeVeDos, and in April 1991 the name changed to America. The bulk of programming of this channel can be found between 12 p.m. and 12 a.m. local time (1500-0300 UTC), offering talk/gossip/comedy shows and news. The rest of the day a mix of informercials, paid religious shows and home shopping is shown.

America is the 4th TV station in Argentina and most of the programs have low ratings. Outside Buenos Aires Province, America is only available as a cable channel. Intrusos en el Espectáculo (a gossip show), is the most popular show in the network and the most-watched gossip program in Argentina. CQC started in America TV in 1995, as well as other critically acclaimed and successful TV shows like TVR and Duro de Domar that now make up the programming of other Argentine networks such as Canal 13 and Telefe. LaLola was also exhibited in the channel.
